EZGO RXV Parts & Accessories

The EZGO RXV is the modern half of the EZGO lineup — launched in 2008 and still in production. Two things make it stand out from the TXT it shares a showroom with: independent rear suspension (each rear wheel on its own arm and coil-over, not a leaf spring), and AC drive on the electric variant with regen braking and brake-by-wire. The ride is noticeably smoother and the cart pulls hills harder. People who own one tend to keep upgrading it.

Year notes that matter. RXV got a body refresh in 2014 — newer dash, updated front cowl. Electric RXVs use a Curtis AC controller from launch through today; gas RXVs ran the Kawasaki engine from 2008 through 2013 and the EX1 engine from 2014 onward. The chassis itself hasn't fundamentally changed, but trim, dashboard, and some body fitment split at 2014 — confirm the year before you order body or dash parts. For controllers, lithium, and performance work it's the reverse: electric RXVs run the Curtis AC drive throughout, so match the controller/drive that's actually in the cart, not the year — send us the controller label if you're unsure.

Most-shopped categories here: RXV-specific lift kits (TXT lift kits will not fit — the IRS rear is a different geometry), LED light kits, brush guards, dashboards, and lithium bundles tuned for the AC drive — see what charger you need for lithium before you buy.

FAQs for EZGO RXV Parts & Accessories

What year is my EZGO RXV?+

The serial number is stamped on the chassis frame near the driver-side rear, and there's a manufacturer ID plate riveted to the frame with a year letter. The year letter restarts on a cycle, so the easiest path is to read both the full serial and the manufacturer plate to us at 678-331-7404 — we'll decode the year on the phone. The RXV has been in continuous production since 2008, so any cart with the IRS rear and AC drive falls in that window.

Will TXT parts fit my RXV?+

Mostly no. The RXV and TXT are different chassis with different rear suspension geometry — the RXV has independent rear suspension, the TXT a solid axle on leaf springs — and different electrical systems. Lift kits, body kits, rear seats, brush guards, and most chassis-mounted accessories sold for a TXT will not bolt to an RXV without modification. A few universal-fit items (lights, mirrors, some accessories) cross over, but the right move is to shop RXV-specific parts on this page.

Is my RXV gas or electric?+

Look at the engine bay. Gas RXVs have a small four-stroke engine (Kawasaki or EX1 depending on year), a fuel cap on the body, and an exhaust pipe. Electric RXVs have a battery bank (typically six 8V batteries under the seat) and no fuel cap or exhaust. There's also a tag on the cart listing the model and powertrain. If you're still not sure, send us a photo of the underseat area at support@extremekartz.com and we'll confirm.

Can I put a lift kit on a 2008 RXV?+

Yes — there are RXV-specific 4" and 6" kits across the year range, including 2008. Critical caveat: do not use a TXT-spec lift kit. The RXV's independent rear suspension uses different mounting geometry than the TXT's leaf-spring rear, and TXT kits simply don't bolt up. Past 4" of lift with larger tires, you'll also typically want longer brake lines and a steering shaft extension. We can spec the full bundle — call before you order the kit alone.

Will a lithium battery fit my RXV?+

Yes, but the AC drive system needs a lithium pack and BMS tuned for that controller — not every plug-and-play 48V kit works out of the box on an RXV. Most modern bundles aimed at the RXV are designed around the Curtis controller and include the right charger for AC drive. Call 678-331-7404 with your year and we'll match the pack, BMS, and charger so the regen and brake-by-wire keep behaving correctly.
