How do I tell a TXT from an RXV?+

The quick visual: the RXV (2008+) has independent rear suspension and a modern curved nose with the rear wheels tucked under the body, while the TXT (1995+) has a solid rear axle and more upright lines. For an exact match, though, the serial number and model are the most reliable way to confirm what you have — look on the driver-side frame rail, and on some newer carts near the steering column or under the driver's seat. They share very few parts, so nail this down first.

What year is my EZGO, and why does it matter for parts?+

Your best identifiers are the serial number and model on the EZGO data plate (driver-side frame rail; on some newer carts on the steering column or under the driver's seat), plus a separate MFG. DATE sticker that shows the month and year of build. Year matters most on the TXT, where fitment changed for 2014, so lift kits, body kits, and some suspension parts split at pre-2014 vs 2014-plus.

Is my EZGO gas or electric, and what are PDS and DCS?+

Gas EZGOs have a Robin or Kawasaki engine; electrics run 36V (older) or 48V. On 48V electrics you'll see a controller labeled PDS or DCS, or a newer AC drive. The motor and controller family have to match, so confirm which system you have before ordering drive parts.

Do Marathon and Medalist parts still fit, and how are they different?+

The Marathon (1976–1994) and the brief Medalist (1994–1995) came before the TXT and use their own body and some drivetrain parts. Many wear items still fit, but body and chassis parts are model-specific, so match your model before ordering.
