What wheel size will fit my cart?+

Most stock carts run an 8-inch wheel and can move up to a 10-inch with no other changes; 12- and 14-inch wheels are the popular upsizes for a bigger, more aggressive look. Beyond diameter, a wheel has to match your cart's bolt pattern and offset and clear your suspension, so check those too. (How wheel and tire size relate to lift height is covered on our tires page.)

What's the bolt pattern for Club Car, EZGO, and Yamaha?+

Nearly all Club Car, EZGO, and Yamaha personal and golf carts use the same 4-on-4-inch bolt pattern (4×101.6mm), so most aftermarket wheels share it. The real catch is the lug nut thread — Club Car and EZGO use 1/2-20 UNF, while Yamaha uses 12mm × 1.25 metric.

Will bigger wheels change my cart's speed or range?+

Indirectly, yes — what actually matters is the overall tire diameter, and a bigger wheel usually means a taller tire. A larger overall diameter effectively raises your gearing, so top speed can tick up slightly, but the motor has to work harder: you lose a little low-end torque and acceleration, and range can drop. On a stock motor, going too big adds strain and heat, so size sensibly.

What do offset and backspacing do?+

Offset controls how far the wheel sits in or out — a stock-style offset (around +25 to +30mm) keeps the wheels tucked, while a lower offset pushes them outward for a wider stance. Go too aggressive on a lifted cart and the tire can rub the body or the steering stops.

Do I need new lug nuts with new wheels?+

Often yes — the lug nuts have to match both your hub's thread (1/2-20 UNF for Club Car/EZGO, 12mm × 1.25 for Yamaha) and the wheel's seat style. Using the wrong thread can strip your hub studs, so if you're not sure which you need, call 678-331-7404 with your cart make, model, and year.
