FAQs for Jakes Lift Kits

What kinds of Jake's lift kits do you carry?+

We carry Jake's across the main lift styles: spindle kits, double A-arm kits, axle kits for EZGO, and long-travel kits with updated external reservoir shocks. There are kits for the Club Car DS and the Precedent, Onward, and Tempo, the EZGO TXT, T48, and RXV, and the Yamaha G-series (G22), Drive (G29), and Drive2. Each kit is built for one platform and year range, so the style you want and the cart you own narrow it down quickly.

What is a Jake's long-travel kit, and is it right for my cart?+

Long-travel is the heavy-duty end of the lineup: it's built for the biggest lifts and real off-road use, with longer suspension travel than a spindle or A-arm kit, and the Jake's long-travel kits we list come with updated external reservoir shocks. It's also the biggest job and the biggest spend, and it typically calls for brake-line and shock changes. If your cart mostly sees paths and pavement, a spindle or A-arm kit is usually the simpler fit; if you're on trails and rough ground, long-travel is what it's for.

How do I pick the right Jake's kit for my cart and year?+

Jake's builds each kit for a specific model, year range, and often gas or electric, so all three have to match. EZGO TXT kits, for example, come in separate gas and electric versions whose year bands break at different points (gas kits split at 2001.5 and 2009, electric kits at 2001.5 and 2013.5). Club Car kits are split between the DS and the Precedent, Onward, and Tempo. Yamaha kits are split by model (G22, Drive (G29), and Drive2), and Drive2 kits built for independent rear suspension need a re-alignment after install. Confirm your cart from the serial number (plus the model number on an EZGO), or call us at 678-331-7404 and we'll match the exact kit.

Do you carry Jake's replacement parts and add-ons?+

We carry a handful of Jake's add-ons alongside the kits, including a heavy-duty spring set for the Drive2, winch-mount bumpers, brush guards, and a skid plate for Drive2 carts with independent rear suspension. If you need a specific rebuild part for a Jake's kit that's already on your cart, send our team the kit name and your cart's model and year and we'll check what's available.

How is this different from the Lift Kits collection?+

This page is Jake's only, the place to shop when you already know you want their kits. The Lift Kits collection covers every lift brand we carry side by side and is where our general guidance on lift height, tire clearance, and lift types lives. If you're still deciding between brands, start there; if you've settled on Jake's, you're in the right spot.
