EZGO Navitas Controller Kit - 600 amp or 440 amp

Upgrade your EZGO golf cart with the Navitas TSX 3.0 Controller Kit — the ultimate plug-and-play performance solution for enhanced torque, speed, and control. Available in both 440AMP and 600AMP configurations, this kit is compatible with a wide range of EZGO models including TXT T48, PDS, 36V DCS, Series, ITS, and AC drive systems. Whether you're running lead-acid or lithium batteries, Navitas transforms your cart into a high-performance machine built for the street, trail, or course.

Which Navitas kit do I need?

  • EZGO TXT T48 (most common of the TXTs. Most carts years 2010 and newer)
    • Your controller is: Curtis 1206HB
    • You have a 48v system cart
    • A 48v S4 will also work with this selection (although not a 72v S4)
  • EZGO TXT 36V PDS
    • Your controller is: Curtis 1206MX
    • You will also have a Fwd/Rev switch instead of a lever (if lever, it's a 36V DCS)
    • PDS 36V,DCS 36V, Series carts (ITS), and AC Drive models
  • EZGO TXT 36V DCS
    • Your controller is: Curtis 1206SX
    • You will have a lever style Fwd/Rev instead of a rocker style switch (if rocker style switch, it's a PDS)
    • Also works for if you have an EZGO Medalist (most Medalists had a DCS system)
  • 1268/1264 Controller EZGOs
    • Your controller is: Curtis 1268/1264
    • Common carts with these controllers are:
      • MPTs (Multi-Purpose Trucks)
      • L4/L6
      • Shuttle 6
      • Rare TXTs / S4s that have been upgraded to a Curtis 1268/1264 controller
      • ITS upgrades
  • EZGO TXT ITS Series (1994-2005)
    • To distinguish if your cart is an ITS Series, it will be a Series cart (has fwd/rev lever instead of switch) and you can determine it is an ITS one of these two ways:
      • Accelerator Pedal: Check the connection to the accelerator pedal. In an ITS system, you will not see a direct mechanical cable running from the pedal up to the motor controller. Instead, you will observe electrical wiring connected to a sensor mechanism near the pedal. This sensor sends an electrical signal to the controller based on the pedal's position
      • Absence of Throttle Cable: Trace from the accelerator pedal upwards towards where the motor controller is located. If you don't see a physical cable, it's likely an ITS system. Older, non-ITS carts use a mechanical cable.
  • EZGO Marathon or Series Cart (1986-1994)
    • Your cart will either be a Marathon, or, a Series cart years 1986-1994. If it's a Series cart, you will have a fwd/rev lever instead of switch

Not compatible with: Non-listed EZGO models or carts with non-factory motor/controller setups.

Model Selection Guide
  • 440AMP Controller Kit – Ideal for moderate upgrades, improved range, and smooth driving
  • 600AMP Controller Kit – Maximum performance for lifted carts, hills, and high-torque needs
Controller Size Speed Increase* Torque Gain Programming Battery Requirements Wiring Requirements
440A +4–7 MPH Up to +45% Yes
Bluetooth App programming & optional OTF Module
Greater than 350A
peak output
(most lithium & lead-acid solutions)
4g cables recommended
600A +8–12 MPH Up to +75% Yes
Bluetooth App programming & optional OTF Module
Greater than 500A
peak output
(lead-acid, or approved Lithium Battery brands*)
- 4g cables at minimum; 2g cables recommended
- Heavy Duty Solenoid required

* *Performance varies depending on tire size, motor, battery condition, and terrain.
***A controller alone on Series cart will provide more Torque but no additional Speed. To obtain more Speed on a Series cart you will need more voltage and or a bigger motor with the controller.***

Pre-Installation Requirements
  • Compatible Curtis controller (see list above)
  • Heavy-duty solenoid required for 600a; but just recommended for 440a
  • Battery Requirements:
    • Lithium: 440A = 400A peak discharge; 600A = 500–600a peak discharge
    • Lead-acid: Minimum 4-gauge cables
  • If you select this variant: ITS Series (1994 - 2005), a 3-Amp diode is strongly recommended to protect the controller during installation. Then, if you upgrade to the Curtis Heavy Duty solenoid (above), you will likely also need this 3a Diode: Diode 3 Amp with Spade Terminals
  • For EZGO models, that are not a series model, a 3-Amp diode is not required, but often recommended when installing high amperage controllers.
Key Performance Benefits
  • Boost top speed by 8-12mph (600amp) or 4-7mph (440a)
  • Up to 75% more torque (600a controller) or 45% more torque (440a)
  • Better hill climbing, acceleration, and throttle response
  • Retains use of stock motor, solenoid, and wiring
  • Compact, lightweight controller with plug-and-play install
  • Built-in thermal protection and speed sensor input
  • Customizable regen braking and motor reversing
Included in the Kit
  • Navitas TSX 3.0 Controller – 440A or 600A
  • Plug-and-play Personality Module for your model
  • (Optional) Dash-mountable On-The-Fly (OTF) Programmer
  • Mounting plate and harness (for AC kits only)
On-The-Fly Programmer Capabilities
  • Adjust acceleration, speed, and regen braking in real time
  • Switch between performance and economy modes on the go
  • Lock settings to prevent changes or tampering
  • Remove or disable dials for added security

Navitas Controller - Better Than Expected!

"Purchased the 72-volt Navitas controller kit to install on my Cushman Hauler Pro. I was hoping to get a top speed somewhere in the 30-35mph range. Installation was a bit tricky, but Navitas tech support was outstanding in guiding me through some of the pitfalls. In the end, using the dashboard speedometer that is part of the Navitas app, the cart reached an unbelievable 45mph! That was with the nine stock 8-volt Trojan batteries and 23-inch tires. Needless to say, I'm very happy with the purchase!"

"Does more than I needed"

Anthony T. (5/5)

Decent power boost

"Received within a few days. Install was very easy - followed YouTube video. Took me 15-20 mins. Then playing with app for about 2 hours to set up and fine tune. The on the go controller is a nice plus but it only has a sticky tape to secure it. Weiss be nice if they would add a way to install on dashboard. Performance went up a bit - about 4-5 mph faster and uphill performance about 2 mph faster. Big hills here. So it’s not that noticeable for others but i can feel the difference. Is it worth it? If you want more torque and crisper performance then yes. If you think you get 10 mph more with your stock motor then you might be disappointed."

Speedy shipping and excellent customer service. Received incorrect part and correct part was shipped fast before a trip we had coming up.
