Do I need a Resistor and/or Diode?
The answer...it depends. If your cart's existing solenoid does NOT have a resistor or diode, then you will not need one for your new heavy duty solenoid. If you car has a resistor, yes, you will need a heavy duty resistor. Here's the one most of our customers purchase:
