Install Tips From The Pros: Some battery chargers are CAN enabled, and will have a male CAN plug to connect to either one of the two CAN ports. If your charger is CAN enabled, the charger will NOT charge unless CAN is connected. Battery must be powered on with the power button illuminated to accept a charge. If your charger utilizes CAN charging, you will need to connect the CAN connector from the charger into either of the two CAN ports on the meter cable. CAN communication ports are used for diagnostics, or communicating with a charger or motor controller.

Best upgrade you can do for your Club Car Precedent
After doing a ton of research on a lithium battery upgrade, I settled on the Eco Battery for a couple reasons. First, the battery is engineered with a thru hole that allows you to directly drop in the battery and use the existing bar to fasten the battery in the cart. Next, the ease of installation on this kit is a huge bonus. I’ll be honest, it is a little time consuming to pull apart the floor of the golf cart to run the battery monitor and the 12v control wire, but still very easy. Finally, the performance. This kit comes with a 105ah battery which has lasted so much longer than my old lead acid batteries. Don’t even get me started on the power. No more loss of acceleration or torque when the battery charge drops! Some of the features I love about this kit are the fact that the charger can be mounted inside the battery tub under the seat and there is still a lot of room to spare for storage. I also love that the cart is now able to be charged with any outdoor extension cord. I bought a heavy duty cord and I leave it wound up and under the seat where I have all the new found space. I can now charge anywhere there is a standard household outlet. Honestly, I am not sure I will ever need to charge on the go with as much juice as we now have! If I decide to drive this bad boy on a road trip, I have it though. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend this kit to anyone looking to convert to lithium in their Club Car Precedent.

Eco Battery Kit for 2020 Yamaha iDrive
Great service and easy to install. I had to lengthen the positive cable in order to make the connection. Total time to replace my lead acid batteries and the cart back in service was 4 1/2 hours. So far the performance of the battery is excellent.
