We all love working on our golf carts. There is something therapeutic about fixing something yourself without having to rely on someone else. Brakes can seem like a daunting task, but with the correct parts and a little research, you can change this aftermarket Brake Drum Assembly with ease. Time for a vocabulary lesson. Who has heard of the phrase "manufactured obsolescence"? We would imagine many of you, especially if you are looking at replacing brake drums on your EZGO, Harley Davidson, or Columbia. For those who are unaware, the term refers to a part designed to fail to protect other items. Brake Drums are supposed to wear out to ensure the life of the axle and others.
This 24-spline brake drum assembly will slide right on the axle with ease. You can use your original lug-nuts, no need to waste money on new ones. Well, unless, of course, you have an affinity for chrome as we do! Make sure you buy two; the last thing you want is worn brakes on one side of the cart and new ones on the other. Well, if you do replace only one side, maybe you can time your braking just right and use it as a turn assist going around corners. Just kidding, get two.
